Sunshiny Pinos Weekend

We had great SoCal weather on Mt. Pinos this past weekend (Jan 19-20, 2013). The skies were clear and deep blue and from the top of the mountain we could see the Pacific ocean as well as snow covered Sierra Nevada mountains in the distance.

Snow conditions were the usual "variable"...the trails were hardpack, and off trail conditions ranged from breakable crust to soft sugary powder.

We had a lot of visitors on the mountain enjoying sledding, hiking, snowshoeing, camping and skiing under the clear blue skies. Some photos from the weekend:
