All Nordic Patrollers are expected to have completed 3 FEMA on-line courses. These include ICS-100, ICS-200 & ICS-700. In fact, successful completion the three courses is one of the requirements for a Candidate to become a Nordic Patroller.

The below three links will take you to the home page for each course. Each course and final examination may take between 3 and 4 hours to complete. On the right hand side of each home page you can choose to “Take This Course” which is an interactive web-based tutorial to guide you through all subjects. Upon completion of the course you are prompted to another link to take the final exam. Each exam is less than 30 questions and the questions come directly from the course material.

Most will choose to take the “Interactive Web-Based Course” followed immediately by taking the final exam. Depending on your learning style you also have the option of downloading all the course material and studying at your own pace. This option is on the right-hand side of each home page under the heading “Classroom Material”

Upon completion of a final exam, you will be asked to enter your personal information (including your social security number). Your results will be emailed to you. The notice indicates it may take 1-2 days, but most have received their email response within 5 minutes. If you pass, you will be provided with a web link to your certificate. Please open it and save a copy (print and file away or save an electronic copy). At this point, you will need to update your nordicbase.org roster entry with the date you completed the listed course.

The final link is to the Emergency Management Institute's ICS Resource Center for those who want to further explore additional ICS and NIMS issues.
